Differences in human behavior patterns create natural obstacles to clear interpersonal communication blocking understanding between individuals of different personality types. True Colors provides a clear, fundamental and universal way of translating complicated individual perspectives to help overcome the barriers to progress. Based on the Meyers-Briggs Type Indicator and the work of Dr. David Keirsey, True Colors offers a research-based approach to understanding human behavior and motivation.
True Colors uses a metaphor of colors (Orange, Gold, Green, and Blue) to identify four distinct perspectives and personalities. The significance you give each of the four True Colors constitutes the balance within your character spectrum. Knowing your primary and secondary “colors” will provide you clues to the basis of your self-esteem, your strengths, joys, needs, and the sources of your stress and frustration. Once you begin to incorporate these concepts into your daily language and experience, you will be able to recognize and appreciate your own unique strengths and preferences, as well as those of people at work and at home. This understanding helps individual’s value diversity, and enhances interaction and communication.
True Colors lively and interactive programs provide the keys to success. Participants in this workshop will establish a firm foundation in the knowledge and language of True Colors which will: create a common voice for relating to one another, develop strong leaders, strengthen synergy and communication, and enhance the learning environment and quality of education.
